After the 2nd game, they were all sweaty and smelled like little teenagers...so gross! I am glad they had a blast though, it was worth it!

2nd game over and awaiting the scores! (Looks intense!)

Birthday boy!!!! I just love this kid :)

Posted by Picasa

Yes, William played with them...and they ganged up on him! Such a sport!

Posted by Picasa

The kiddos (excuse me, I mean teens!) were excited to see their scores after the game!

Logan's 13th Birthday!!!

He wanted to go to this Laser Quest place. He had 20 friends show up and they had a blast! (Do I even have 20 friends? lol)

So awesome...Logan was great!!!

Logan playing Trombone for the big rivalry HIGH SCHOOL football game!

Foster/Lamar is the huge game of the year (Foster won!) Logan's Junior High band was invited to play at it during the 1st half! Such an honor! This was their 1st time playing at a game (and it was a packed house!) They did amazing...and if I didn't know better, I would have thought they were the High School band! Great job Logan and Briscoe's band!!!

Woo-hoo, more fire!!!

Yes, we love fire. I think it is a requirement for all fire fighter families! :)
Posted by Picasa

Oh, this sucker was really cool!

This sucker lives at Hobby Airport. The guys will not even have to exit this vehicle to put out a fire at the airport! I really enjoyed this demonstration...and did I mention there was more fire!!!

Hello up there!

Logan brought 2 friends this year and they were so much fun to watch! On the shuttle to the event, the cell phones were attached to their heads the entire time! Oh my gosh, here is when the fun stuff begins! We are now parents of a teenager...and a 3 year old!

Opening day at the Fair coming to an end!

We brought Sammy with us, but his Mom (Rhonda) was there with his youngest brother. We met up with them later as Logan and Sammy had an extra credit project for school in the Ag. tent. The boys completed their GT extra credit work and I got to visit with my buddy Rhonda! We stole Sammy and held him capture at our home for the evening and the boys dined on pizza and Dr Pepper and made it an early night. I love the way the Fair knocks everyone out before 10:00pm!!!! Looking forward to next year's Ft. Bend County fair!!!

Funky Fair Fish!

The day after the fair, Logan bought 3 more goldfish to keep his skanky "Fair Fish" company. His "Fair Fish" is still alive and kicking...2 out 3 of the "purchased fished" are no longer with us! Rock on skanky Fair Fish!

Fort Bend County Fair!!!

This is why I love living in Fort Bend! The whole city shuts down on a Friday, kids get in free on opening day, and it is an entire day of family traditions, fun, rides, games, food, running into neighbors, co-workers, buddies, etc! This is the end of the day with sleepy children...and one goldfish that Logan won (dangit!)

Narnia!

Posted by Picasa

oops...we're in Narnia!

When we got there, I thought it was odd that everything was related to this movie. These suckers towered over us and we had to walk under 4. I kinda started thinking we took a wrong move shortly after this exhibit!
Posted by Picasa

Logan & Liam...in a fake tree!!!

I took the boys to the 2ND day opening of the new Sugar Land Museum of Science...only 10 minutes away!!! We had so much fun. It is still small and I imagine they will continue to add exhibits but we saw so many cool things! Live frog/toad exhibit was super-cool, they had a toad that was bigger then my face! Apparently some individuals in foreign countries eat them, but they did not make me hungry one bit! We even accidentally walked through the special "Narnia" exhibit backwards...oops! We went upstairs and found another gift shop and while walking through we continued into the exit of the exhibit! We were just looking for the rest of the museum (it is still a really small venue until they add and expand into the gigantic building!) Narnia was way cool and after walking through it backwards, I probably would have paid extra to see it! Such an awkward moment!

Logan and mini-Logan (Liam!)

Liam insisted on wearing this! He is so wild, and sweet, and so much fun! After a decade we are so happy to be a family of four! He is very much opposite of Logan and is such a different personality...they both have such wonderful talents and it is so cool watching our boys interact! This has been such an adventure and we are all enjoying every second! FYI, Tuesday morning (9/8) he is finally having his ABR (hearing test) completed. Once and for all we want to rule out anything that has been keeping him behind on speech and comprehension. Memorial Herman, 7:30am...I'll post the results! ...I put him to bed tonight watching Pete's Dragon on the lap top(curled up on my lap) That was my #1 movie growing up...he loved it! Me too! :)

Oh no....such a serious Hollister commercial pose!

My 5'9 CHILD has crossed on to pre-teen stuff...and I feel so old! This is Logan and his BF since they started school, Sammy. This is after their female "friends" straightened their hair...with my straightener! He's in all GT classes in 7th grade, Band (Trombone), Spanish, everything else...and Basketball!!!! About time this super tall athlete starts Basketball! I could not wait (I was in Basketball throughout school) SNIFF...my baby is growing up too fast! He's always going to be my baby though! :)

Logan, Sammy, Allisa, Liam, and Anna

So these female friends of Logan and his buddy, Sammy have been coming over for dinner every weekend. Very sweet girls but am I ready for this? So sweet and so polite, but wow...when did all this happen? They took my hair straightener the other night and "fixed" Logan and Sammy's hair! It did look awesome, but I never imagined I would ever see the day I tell my (next month 13 year old son) please make sure you put my hair straightener back in my bathroom when you are done with it! Damn you Zack Efron for starting this trend!

My Logan!!!

Liam has started referring to Logan as "my Logan." I guess with the ten year age difference, he is not quite sure what Logan is right now. He knows Mommy, and Daddy, and My Logan! He adores his big brother and Logan is always running around looking after Liam (without us even asking for help!) Logan is so amazing, he started 7th grade, taking Spanish classes, in the gifted program so he has all GT classes including band (trombone again) BASKETBALL (woo-hoo, I played basketball so I am very excited about this!) When your 12 year old is 5'9, you really have to encourage the hoops! :) Looking forward to great things ahead for Logan, and he will be such an amazing role model for his little brother! I can't wait for these basketball games to start...I hope I can keep my mouth shut and not embarrass Logan!!!

The day before Logan started 7th grade!

William was at the fire station, so I took the boys to this great pizza place for dinner. Liam was silly, and Logan was tired! Logan spent the day at the club with his friends swimming and eating lunch together! Logan and his buddies had their last summer outting before the new school year! He has such amazing friends, and we have enjoyed them all summer! Liam went back to Primrose last week and is loving it! Looks like it will be a great year!

Liam's first pet, he named it "Wubzzy."

We have her on a shelf in his bedroom so he can see it but not knock it over! He is in charge of feeding her (with supervision) and we let him look at her and hug her (tank) he is so happy to have his own pet and is excited to tell anyone he comes into contact with about his fish, "Wubzzy."

Liam hugging his pet fish!

Liam's first pet!

We were at Petco buying cat litter trays for the auto-litter box and Liam spotted the Beta fish display! He grabbed one of the clear cups (containing a beta) and ran, yelling "this is my fish, I hold the fish!" I ran after him, saved the fish from a horrible accident, and Liam now owns a pet! He selected the fish bowl and set everything up (with much supervision!) He loves this sucker, he hugs the bowl every chance he can get and is determined to "hold it" yikes! Don't worry, it is on a safe shelf out of reach in his bedroom.

Astros game!

We took the boys to an Astros game before summer ended. They won, and Liam enjoyed it (except for the fireworks afterwards!) Logan also seemed to enjoy it! He really liked the fireworks. William and Logan watched the firework and Liam & I watched from the television inside.

Nana & Grandpa John and Aunt Sally

Uncle Rudy was working so Sally brought the kids over. We had not visited with them in a while so it was great to see them. My neice and nephew ended up staying the night and the kids had a blast! It was also great to see my Mom and John. They are so cute together! Mom came down and babysat for us the other day and took Liam shopping for his gift from them. She also babysat afterwards and William and I got to go on a real date...food, movie, no kids! We don't get that often and really needed to get out and have a break. Thanks Mom, we really appreciated that! I wish we all lived closer!

William's parents at Liam's birthday!

Liam was so happy to see them! Not sure if they noticed, but their outfits were color coordinated! Too cool! Thanks for coming by Grandma & Grandpa Alden!

We celebrated Liam's 3rd birthday on Sunday!

Notice his little finger print in the cake under his name! He had so much fun! He was so busy he just would not sit down and eat real food. His meals consisted of chocolate chip waffles for breakfast, cheetos, ice cream and cake for lunch, and cheetos for dinner. Happy Birthday little guy, you were well worth the ten year wait!

Time to go home :(

Fortunately, this carried our luggage and Liam! He enjoyed the ride!
Posted by Picasa

The view from our patio!

We had a great view. We were right behind the 1st hole on the golf course so I was a little worried about the golf balls flying towards us! I was also a bit creeped out by these odd wildlife creatures that lived on the golf course. Scout saw them when she was walking around with her friend and refered to them as "Beaver Ratts" but we saw one and I really think it might have been a nutra ratt. I have heard about them but never saw one in person until this trip. This fit the description I have always known about the nutras...ick! Aside from the "beaver ratts," the boys said the golf course was really nice. They took a few hours for golf and then allowed me and Lisa time to go get our massages...nice!

Apparently it has been a while since we took the ferry to Crystal Beach ( 4th of July last year at Mom & John's was our last visit) We forgot about the 2 hour ferry wait and ended up late. We still were able to visit with super great friends and the kiddos got to hang out at the beach while all of us adults got to catch up! Thanks again Angus and Farrell (and Sandy & Ellie) for having us, we really enjoyed the visit and it looked like Keegan was enjoying his birthday!

We had so much fun! We stayed at the Marriot along with most of our friends including my brother and sister-in-law...the hotel was almost as much fun as the reunion! It was held at Vargo's and we stayed until they kicked us out! Great seeing friends we see often as well as many we have not seen in years! Vargo's was beautiful...I must go back soon!!!

So this is a picture of me and William before my senior prom, we went to William's 20 year high school reunion last night and I will post a photo to compare. We look so different! Obviousley we look different, but it is so weird, I can not believe he has been out of high school for 20 years! We had a blast and Aunt Judy babysat. We stayed at the Marriott and the event was at Vargo's. So much fun, and a much needed night out sans kiddos.
